'Head on the Door' is a good album....its just not as good as 'Pornography'...

Hey, Ces, how about having the Forths go on a family trip to Islamorada, to visit their friends the Beasleys? Hilary can wear a yellow jacket, with her hair styled into fluffy tufts....

"Head on the Door" was one of my favorite albums in college (played almost as often as "Lifes Rich Pageant"). Of course, no truly discerning ear can turn away from "Pornography" or "Disintegration." But why oh why won't people give "Wild Mood Swings" its due?

If I remember correctly, Game Theory was quite fond of Big Star and that can only be good.

Big ups for Rhino's current reissue series of the early Cure albums, incidentally. Surprisingly, the demos and live tracks are actually kind of interesting, which is not at all usually the case.

Yes, Sue, there's another Game Theory fan here. The one Ant wrote the song about for no readily apparent reason. (The backstory: Ces offered to make me a personalized strip a few weeks back, because I hooked him up with my sister's company, a sort of multimedia mini-syndicate. I mentioned Game Theory in my list of proposed topics.)

I'm not a big "Pornography" fan - have to be in just the right mood for that one. I'm more of a "Seventeen Seconds" guy.
